The Downtown Art Walk is free to the public. Maps may be downloaded from this site or visitors may pick up a map at any of the participating galleries.


Galleries, museums, and non-profit art spaces operating in Downtown Los Angeles may apply for inclusion in the Downtown Art Walk.

Note: This is an Art Gallery event. Artist’s studios, restaurants, bars, real estate offices and retail stores are NOT eligible to participate, except as sponsors. Please visit our sponsor page for details.

The Downtown Art Walk is open to public, private, or nonprofit exhibition venues which:

  • operate within the boundaries of Grand Avenue to the west, the 101 freeway to the north, Olympic Blvd. to the south, and San Pedro St. to the east in Downtown Los Angeles.
  • maintain regular open hours and a dedicated space for the exhibition of visual art on a full time basiss
  • commit to be open for the Art Walk EVERY second Thursday from 12-9 pm. Venues which must close earlier than 9 pm or open later than 12 pm are still eligible, but must specify the hours we are able to publicize.
  • do not charge any entry fees during Art Walk
  • provide maps to visitors, (can be downloaded every month from this site)
  • feature the Art Walk on press releases & websites
  • pay an annual fee to participate from June 1 to May 31. Pro-rated fees available for galleries which sign up for a partial year.
